Golf Girls Do It Better: Sadie’s Mini Senior Session
Your senior photos are a time capsule of your personality and interests from your senior season. These sessions are at their peak when they feel like you, not a copy + paste of your Pinterest board. Sadie took this advice and ran with it! She is so effortlessly cool and completely in her element for these photos. She is giving golf girl energy, the best golden hour glow, and a gallery that feels like the perfect combination of sporty and editorial. (Bonus: This session was so wonderful and special for me to be a part of. Sadie is my little cousin, and I am so grateful that I have been able to capture these special senior year moments <3)

This golf course was such a good choice, not only because it’s pretty (it is), but also because this is the field where Sadie practices and plays. We kept Sadie in her golf uniform to keep it on theme, but also unique to her and her school, making everything feel so authentic. When we added her bag and gear, the session was instantly elevated. Sadie’s look and skill made the session feel real, while also adding that styled element.
Obviously, Sadie is the real star of the session, but I couldn’t go through this whole post without
acknowledging the stunning details of the course and the other natural details that added a new depth to the photos. The soft, golden light stretching across the course mixed with the shades of green surrounding Sadie made for such glowy pictures. These simple, yet eye-catching details created a beautiful setting while still keeping Sadie in the spotlight. With a mix of posed and candid moments, we were able to capture Sadie demonstrating her sport, posing with her equipment, and showing off her personality throughout the session.

Why Sessions Like This Matter
Incorporating your interests into your senior photos can change everything about your session. By showing off what you love, you are able to embrace your personality in your photos. This can be done in a variety of ways for all kinds of interests. If sports aren’t your thing, think about using your favorite hobby, talent, or passion. This can be anything from painting, to musical instruments, to video games, and beyond – even if it feels niche, it’s something that you love! Working with these things can boost confidence when taking pictures, especially when it adds an element to posing. Adding a prop always makes people feel a little more at ease in these sessions, especially since senior pictures can be a common first-time experience with a photography session. Specializing your pictures shows who you are now, and makes them more sentimental years later.

When you’re envisioning your senior photos, remember that your pictures don’t have to fit a certain “look” or style! You can show off anything that makes you feel unique, whether it’s golf, dance, fashion, books, or something totally different – these pictures are meant to reflect who you are right now. If you’re looking for someone who is passionate about capturing your personality, reach out today and book your senior session! I would love to help show off the things that make you unique!
